Wilson x Sirius

A young star among the Gelder stallions is Markant. This longlined and correct built stallion grabbed the attention during his performance test with his faboulus attitude. Something that is so important for the breeding of Gelder horses. Besides that he showed lots of potential for both jumping and dressage.

Markant’s father is the PSG/ Inter I stallion Wilson (Koss x Cabochon) who was very successfull in Young Riders classes with a Japanese rider. Mother Wiezelma, comes out of the famous Zelma damline. This damline gave many dressagehorses already and also the 1.60 showjumper Ottoline Slottie. It’s quite special that Markant’s breeding is almost 100% Gelder.

During his performance test in Ermelo Markant scored high points including two 9’s for canter and attitude. For his talent as a dressage- and jumpinghorse he scored an 8. Also during his harness test he charmed the judges and got an 8.5. His riders throughly loved it to ride him in the field, a striking fact! In the meantime Markant is succesfully ridden at ZI level dressage. In 2022 Markant showed an extreme good group of foals. Foals with size, length and lots of movements.

We are sure that Markant will be an positive addition to the breeding of Gelder horses and we are very proud to have him in our collection this season!
