The Gelder stallion Alexandro P doesn’t need any introduction. Recently he got declared “preferent” by the KWPN. As the sire of many Gelder champions he also became famous in the dressage world for producing top dressagehorses. That led to the declaration “preferent” earlier this year by the KWPN. An unique achievement.

That Alexandro does so well in the dressagebreeding can be declared by the influence by his fathers side. Through Koss and El Corona we find one of Holland’s first dressagestallions; Amor. On Alexandro’s mothersside we see a strong Gelder damline with stallions like Satelliet, Uriant and Hoogheid.
Already thirteen years Alexandro delivers champions during the National Championships in Ermelo; foal-, mare and stallion champions. Think about horses like Hanna Amanda, Nina Amanda, Gerona, Jills and of course the world famous Henkie. At a young age Henkie competed at the World Championships of young horses with Adelinde Cornelissen. It is striking how many dressagehorses are from an Alexandro mother. For example the mare Mayflower who became third in the Pavo Cup for four years old. During an online auction buyers paid € 100.000 for Leonidas, a young Trafalger out of an Alexandro mother. A lot of Alexandro’s compete at PSG/ Inter I level like, Galantha, Hopa, Era, Ferrington, Fiësta Beat, Filemon MVN, Happy and the earlier mentioned Henkie.

Also in the harnessed sport we see many young Alexandro’s. Top drivers like Chester Weber and Mark Weusthof have several young Alexandro’s competing at international level.
