Balou du Rouet x Landetto

At the age of three, he was champion at the BWP stallion inspection; even then, he stood out for his carefulness, ability, and long-lined conformation. Now, at eleven, he has more than fulfilled that promise. Under Austrian rider Gerfried Puck, he excels at the 1.60-meter level. Recently, the duo won the $50,000 4* Grand Prix in Doha and placed second in the GP of Salzburg. At nine, he was already second in the World Cup competition in Verona. This year, the focus for the duo will be the Olympic Games in Paris.

Given the pedigree of this striking chestnut, these performances come as no surprise. His sire is the 1.50-meter jumper Balou du Rouet, one of the most successful sons of Olympic champion Baloubet du Rouet. Balou du Rouet's dam is Georgia, a daughter of Continue and also the dam of the exceptional Balou du Reventon. Balou du Rouet has sired numerous 1.60-meter horses, including Bianca (ridden by Steve Guerdat), Baloutinue (ridden by Laura Kraut), and Babalou (ridden by Darragh Kenny).

The dam of Naxcel, Qaroline (Landetto x Lys de Darmen), is an exceptionally well-bred mare. Apart from Naxcel, she has produced two other 1.60-meter horses: Charisma V (ridden by Grant Wilson) and Excenel V (ridden by Marcel Ewen). Also from her lineage come the 1.50-meter horses Equitron Ornaat V and Wahorn V. Additionally, she has produced three 1.40-meter horses: Balladine V, Daroline V, and Ixenel. Naxcel's grandmother, Maroline, competed at the 1.50-meter level and produced the 1.45-meter horse Valeur de Reve. Olympic, another 1.60-meter horse, also comes from the direct maternal line of Naxcel. It's a fantastic maternal lineage, known for consistently producing high-performing offspring from Qaroline's daughters.

The first offspring of Naxcel stand out in free jumping competitions, and his son Vino d’Emma was selected for the third phase of the BWP stallion inspection.
