This year, we are proud to once again present a new Gelderlander top stallion: Deifeldt's King van de Landhorst.
The eleven-year-old stallion has recently been competing at Grand Prix level under Jean-René Luijmes, and the first victories are already to his name. He makes a strong impression with his outstanding piaffe and pirouettes, movements for which he shows exceptional talent. In addition, he possesses a calm and reliable temperament combined with an excellent willingness to work. Jean-René will continue training and competing him at this level, with the aim of making his international debut in the near future.
For the Gelderlander breeding program, he adds highly interesting bloodlines with a clear emphasis on dressage. The stallion selection committee therefore approved him with great confidence in 2026.
His IWH-approved sire, Deifeldt, is by the Grand Prix stallion Zethar (by Parcival x Cabochon). The dam of Deifeldt's King van de Landhorst is the ster mare Kiona (by Abrilon), who earned the sport predicate through her Z2-level classification. She also produced the ZZ-Licht level horse Juliarona. Further back in the dam line we find Cinovo and Droomwals.
The offspring of Deifeldt's King van de Landhorst show the true Gelderlander type, with strong toplines and substantial bone.
