Detective Vive Z
Dominator 2000 Z x Numero Uno
Detective Vive Z, this Dominator Z x Numero Uno son, currently competing at 1.50 m level, is a striking presence in the showjumping arena. Not only because of his impressive jumps — demonstrating great power and excellent technique — but also due to his conformation, making him a true eye-catcher. In addition, he is eager over the fences and shows an exceptional willingness to work.
Detective Vive Z is a pleasure to watch. At the KWPN Stallion Inspection, he stood out as one of the most remarkable jumping horses, combining his talent with an outstanding pedigree. As a 7-year-old, Detective Vive Z was already competing at 1.45 m level. In 2024, he took part in the final for 7-year-old horses at the World Breeding Championships in Lanaken.
On the sire’s side, we see the exceptional Dominator Z (by Diamant de Semilly x Cassini I). Under Christian Ahlmann, Dominator Z built an impressive record at just nine years old. He won his first international Grand Prix, finished 2nd in the 5* Grand Prix of Paris, and achieved strong results in the World Cup of Madrid. This black pearl of Zangersheide also secured victories in the 5* 1.60 m GCT of Stockholm and Hamburg, as well as the 5* 1.60 m Grand Prix of Doha.
As a sire, Dominator Z is equally impressive. In addition to producing a significant number of approved stallions across various studbooks, his oldest offspring already show exceptional talent. His eldest son, D’Aganix, is currently competing at 1.60 m level. Furthermore, Dominator Z has already produced two world champions and one vice world champion at the World Championships for Young Showjumping Horses in Lanaken.
The talent of Detective Vive Z is not only inherited from his sire. On the dam’s side, we find Zinfandel, a daughter of Numero Uno. This preferential performance mare is a full sister to the 1.60 m horse Willemijn and a half-sister to the two 1.55 m horses Michael and Uruguay H.L. Zinfandel has already produced several international showjumpers. Her daughter Isis Vive (by Contendro I) scored 83 points in the EPTM test and is currently competing at 1.45 m level.
With several young horses still emerging from this exceptional mare, her influence in the sport is expected to grow even further.
Through the renowned Nimmerdor mare Herarda, who herself competed at 1.35 m level, we trace back to the legendary Thoroughbred mare Viola (Lucy Boy xx). She produced, among others, the approved stallion Jacomar, who competed at 1.60 m level under Marc Houtzager, and the 1.50 m horse Ping Pong. This is an outstanding dam line that has consistently produced international sport horses for generations, with a strong emphasis on attitude and durability. It is therefore no surprise that Detective Vive Z is an above-average showjumper.
Ridden by his regular rider Liesje Vrolijk, he reached the final of the World Championships in Lanaken as a seven-year-old, after previously winning the Youngster Final in Oliva. In addition, he competed as part of the Dutch team at the European Championships for Young Riders in Riesenbeck in 2025. With his proven bloodlines, power, and outstanding mindset, Detective Vive Z is not only a talented sport horse but also a highly promising asset for breeding.
